Task Background:

The primary focus of this project was to optimise the website content and enhance the overall user experience. During the initial analysis it became clear that the website's content was heavily tech-focused and often lacked a clear communication of benefits to the users. Additionally, some of the content had grammatical errors and very long sentences which resulted in many important pages on the website scoring low for readability.

The original estimated timeline for this task was approximately two weeks, encompassing a full content review, rewriting content where needed, checking readability, and implementing changes via the CMS or by updating the code. I have now completed approximately 90% of this first task so I have decided to deliver a summary of the work done so far.

Summary of Work Completed: I carried out a thorough examination of the website content to identify areas for improvement using readability scoring tools. A total of 32 pages were reviewed and analysed. Now the following steps are being taken to enhance the website's content:

• Correct grammatical errors: Various grammatical errors were found and are being corrected throughout the website, improving overall readability and professionalism.
• Simplification of existing content: Complex sentences and technical jargon are being replaced with simpler language to make the content more accessible to a wider audience.
• Rewriting of landing page content: Some landing pages were identified as requiring complete content overhauls, so new copy has been written to better communicate the benefits of the tech to users (eg /privacy-protocol and home pages).
• Implementation of content changes: The revised content is now being integrated into the website either using the CMS or by directly updating the code (these changes will be pushed to the live site once completed).
